Popular South Korean boy group, EXO’s member Chen, has announced that he is getting married. It was also reported that his fiancée is seven months pregnant, but SM Entertainment has since denied this. After his agency SM Entertainment released a statement about Chen’s engagement to a non-celebrity, the 27-year-old posted a picture of a handwritten letter for his fans confirming the news.
“Chen has met someone precious to him and will be getting married. The bride is a non-celebrity, and the wedding will be held privately with only their families in attendance,” SM Entertainment’s statement reads. The statement added that the wedding and everything related to it would be held privately, with only Chen and his fiancee’s family and friends in attendance. The statement asked fans and journalists to respect the couple’s privacy.
The agency then asked fans to send Chen “lots of blessings and messages of celebration.”
In his handwritten letter, Chen told fans about his fiancée, writing that he found a “blessing.”

Here is the translation of the adorable letter via Metro: “Hello, this is Chen. I am writing this because I have something to tell our fans. I don’t know how to start this, and I’m very nervous. Although these words are not enough, I’m writing this letter because I want to honestly tell our fans, who gave us so much love, first.”
Chen then reveals that he has a girlfriend that he wants to spend the rest of his life with. He also talked about being concerned and worried about sharing the news. He consulted his agency and fellow EXO members before announcing the news and decided to share it early so as not to surprise the world with suddenly getting married.
